I happened to catch up with Danny Swift on one of his days off touring with his band The Dark Side of Scotland. The Atmosphere was tense and I was eager to understand what goes through the head of one of the Newest Young Rock stars in the world. Daniel Swift sat down in front of me wearing nothing but a pair of sandals with white socks, jeans and a baggy vest, a typical rock star wardrobe.

Code: "So how’s the Tour going?
Daniel Swift:: "Alright Like, me and the boys are having a laugh and enjoying playing our music
for our fans, That’s the only reason we do it, because we love our fans, if there was no fans there would be no Dark side of Scotland.

C: "When you get a moment away from your
fans and touring what do you do in you in your spare time?"DS: "I usually spend my time doing pointless interviews, with all the same questions getting asked. But when I have time to myself I watch Movies and Play the Xbox, I mean people forget I am only 18 I do like to just have a normal day in playing Fifa.

C: "What is your favourite movie?"
DS: Erm, that’s a tough one, either Anchorman or Step Brothers, I like Will Ferrell."

C: "Growing up in Liverpool, a city which holds a great music history, did you always have an interest in Rock music?
DS: "Yes definitely, who didn’t want to be a rock star as a kid, The Money
, The Girls and the cars have always been an interest for me."

C: You mentioned you don’t like getting asked the same questions over and over again. So we at Code Magazine like to mix it up a bit. What is your favourite cartoon?
DS: "Ohhh tough one, probably Family Guy or South Park, Probably Family Guy though because I can relate to Brian a lot because he loves a drink or two and he has a way with words just like me.

C: The Band has had massive success in the UK and in the US with two number one hits and a number one album? How proud are you of your and The Cures successes this year?
DS: "Me and the boys have never gave up on out dream and it has finally paid off. I always used to get told by my teachers that I should focus on my work and
give up Music. I guess they feel pretty silly now."

C: Finally Before you leave is it true that that you once said that you can be as big as The Beatles?"
DS: Yeah Why Not? I mean I bet you if you ask Paul McCartney if he thought The Beatles were going to be as big as they were he would have said no.
C: How have you reacted to your new rock star lifestyle has it been quite dramatic?
DS: Well I have came quite a long way from playing in small local pubs in Liverpool to Touring the World and having a treble platinum record! But Its been fun and Me and the band want to progress and go the next stage and do something bigger.

C: What has been the biggest change for you inarticulately in the last 12 months?
DS: I would have to say my sex life has taken a dramatic increase, It gets a bit boring on the road sometimes so me and the boys are always looking for people to keep us entertained!

After just spending just spending half an hour with young Daniel I realised he is a very enthusiastic young man and is very optimistic about his future career....As he should be!
